The KLX®230 features a compact and lightweight engine that delivers excellent low- to mid-range torque, pulling strongly and facilitating low-speed control. Fuel injection delivers precise response, and smooth torque leads to rider-friendly engine character with linear acceleration.
Electric start and fuel injection ensure easy starting and efficient fuel delivery regardless of altitude or air temperature.
A smooth-shifting 6-speed transmission covers a wide range of street-riding conditions and allows for a more comfortable ride on both the streets and trails.

STEADY POWERGO PLAY
The KLX®230 dual-sport lineup is powered by a 233cc fuel-injected, air-cooled single-cylinder engine, tuned for low- to mid-range power.
The high-tensile steel perimeter frame, short wheelbase, and low seat height offer the handling needed for confident trail riding for a wide range of riders and environments.
The KLX®230 has long-travel suspension with optimized settings that help power through rugged terrain with comfort and control. Plus, a lightweight aluminum swingarm helps keep the bike light for improved on- or off-road maneuverability.
Petal disc brakes add excellent stopping power, with a twin-piston caliper gripping a 240mm disc in the front and a 220mm disc in the rear.
The KLX®230 S is available with a dual-sport calibrated ABS*, specially developed for this model. Designed to assist stopping performance on low-friction surfaces, this ABS system will offer reassurance to both new and experienced riders. A switch on the left handlebar allows you to disable the ABS function to better suit riding conditions.
The KLX®230 features full-size aluminum wheels (21-in front and 18-in rear), allowing for confident riding and handling over varied terrain.

The engine and chassis were designed together to make KLX230 models as agile and lightweight as possible, while the frame, suspension, swingarm, brakes, and wheels are fine-tuned for thrilling on- and off-road performance.
The KLX®230 S motorcycle's frame, seat, fuel tank, and gas cap were designed to give you better grip, offering superior chassis control. Seams between the shrouds, side panels, and seat are flush, which facilitates freedom of movement.
The KLX®230 S motorcycle delivers all-day comfort with a low-profile seat that has a flat silhouette so you can adjust to your ideal riding position. Supportive seat foam helps absorb bumps from rugged trails and uneven roads for improved comfort.
The KLX®230 S has a compact LED headlight in a slim, sharp front cowl offering remarkable brightness at night or in low light conditions. The multi-function LCD dash meter and smartphone connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE† help keep your riding information right in front of you.
Features include: speedometer, odometer, dual-trip meters, fuel gauge, clock, and indicator lamps.

Designed with KX™-inspired ergonomics, styling, and versatile dual-sport features, the KLX®230 lineup takes your adventure to new heights.
The KLX®230 S features two-stage front suspension with 7.8 in of travel. The front forks work with dual-stage springs with a firm spring rate. Combined with reduced rear suspension travel (8.7 in), this helps lower the seat height by 1.6 in.
